Like the majority of my cranberry recipes this came from Mrs. Harkner of Milston, Wi. She passed on her favorites to my mother and they quickly became our favorites also. I am including the nuts, they are of course, optional. Sift: 2 c flour 1 c sugar 1 1/2 t bkg pwdr 1/2 t salt 1/2 t soda In separate bowl combine: 2 T melted butter 1/2 c orange juice 1 egg 2 T hot water Mix the wet and dry and stir in: 1/2 c chopped walnuts or pecans 1 1/2 cups chopped cranberries Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 350 for 1 hour. Cool ten minutes and turn out gently.
